One thing I love about outdoor weddings and elopements in Alaska is you never quite know exactly how they will turn out. You can have ideas, plan, and schedules — but the thing about Alaska is that nature always has the beautiful final word. When I arrived at Dylan and Anna’s Alaska beach wedding venue, you could tell it was going to rain. The clouds were rolling and the air was thick. That did not deter anyone from enjoying the day. The air was as thick with humidity as it was with joy and excitement. It was a truly all Alaskan wedding.

Christina and Lucas’ session took place at Nugget Falls Waterfall in Juneau Alaska. Nugget Falls is a large and epic waterfall located in the Mendenhall Valley right next to the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau Alaska. It is one of the most scenic locations in Juneau Alaska, whether you’re getting your photo taken, or taking photos yourself. When fireweeds bloom depends on the weather and climate. Summers are unpredictable in southeast and southcentral Alaska, especially with global warming trends; some summers there is hardly any clear warm days, and some summers there are weeks of high temperatures and droughts.
