Suddenly, you’re swimming in questions no one prepared you for:
Where should we go?
What should we do?
Do we need permits?
What if it rains?
This is the part where all that freedom can feel a little like a freefall. Dreaming of mountaintop vows is easy; making it actually happen isn't. You were never meant to do this alone. You deserve a guide who can wade with you through the messy stuff so you can stay present in the magic of it all.
Whether you’re blending tradition with adventure, or throwing the rulebook out the window completely. I want you to feel empowered to celebrate in a way that feels right for you.
When you work with me, you can expect to dance, run, piggyback, motorboat, swear, laugh, and get messy. That's the energy I'll bring to your day.
I get it. Seriously, I do. You are not alone, and I'm the same way! But if there's one thing my couples tell me, is how comfortable I make them feel in front of the camera.

"Sierra made us feel very comfortable, like we have known each other for a long time and know each other very well! She brings out the best of us! Everytime we have a session with her, it’s a lot of laughter, and moments you’ll always remember and laugh about! And that’s why her photos are so beautiful, capturing the raw moments. A very talented woman, and we are very lucky to have her!"
"First, we had no idea how to elope (a little ironic) but her website as well as her communication/advice really helped us feel prepared to make the most out of the day and of our trip to Alaska.
Second, when our bags got delayed, Sierra was so calm, reassuring, and helpful. Our bags had all our props for the photos + our clothes for our week long wilderness cruise. She was on top of things immediately. She was able to get us flowers last minute (which made a world of difference), lent us her jacket, and brought along extra props to make our day special.
Third, my now-husband and I are not photogenic people. We rarely have our picture taken together and are awkward as soon as a camera comes out. We don't know how Sierra did it but we look so comfortable in the photos!
Not only was Sierra amazing through the whole process but the photos are absolutely stunning. "
Your day is a blank canvas, so I encourage you to dream up a day that sets your soul on fire. If you have an idea but you're not sure how to make it work, where to go, or how many hours you may need, reach out! I'd love to talk you through it and see how we can make it work.
This short and sweet elopement package is for the couples that want to slip away and get straight to the point.
This package is typically for couples visiting via cruise ship with limited hours in Juneau who want their vows documented and a simple adventure.
Limited to the Juneau area only, a minimum of 6 hours is required for travel outside of Juneau.
For couples who want a day that feels intentional, without coverage from start to finish. This package gives you space to soak in the moments that matter most, and still have the highlights of your story told.
Think getting ready, your ceremony, and time to wander, celebrate, or simply exist in it all afterward. It’s a beautiful fit for intimate weddings or elopements with a couple of thoughtfully chosen locations and micro-adventures.
If you’re dreaming up a more layered, full-story experience, the 8-hour package is usually the sweet spot. This one holds the heart of it all in a way that still feels full and meaningful.
For couples who want their full day documented from the first sip of coffee to the last toast under the stars.
Whether it’s a full-day elopement spent helicoptering to a glacier and celebrating afterward, or a wedding that flows from getting ready through your sparkler exit, this package covers it all.
It’s ideal for the ones who want to feel fully present and document their full story.

Most couples come to me with a vision that blends tradition and adventure — maybe an island celebration with 100 guests or an epic glacier ceremony followed by a cozy local reception. If you already have a planner or coordinator (which I recommend for larger weddings), I’ll work closely with them to make sure everything flows smoothly. If you’re planning things yourself, I’ll help with timelines, vendor recommendations, and photo locations.
Every wedding collection also includes an engagement session so we can connect, get comfortable, and print announcements before your big day.
Most couples come to me searching for Alaska elopement packages, but what they really want is a day that feels adventurous, yet effortless — but they’re not always sure where to start! That’s where I come in. I take a more hands-on approach with elopement planning than I do with weddings, helping with timeline creation, location scouting, vendor recommendations, permit guidance, backup plans, and even activity ideas to make the day feel uniquely yours.
Alaska elopement packages don’t typically include an engagement session like weddings do, but you’ll receive plenty of personalized guidance and support to make sure every detail feels intentional and stress-free.

I was born and raised here, and I've been shooting in Juneau for years. I know which spots photograph better at sunrise or sunset, the tidal windows that make or break a shoot at certain locations, and how to stay safe in bear country.
Every Juneau couple I work with receives my private 70-page Juneau location guide, built from years of living and shooting here. That's not something you get from a photographer flying in for the weekend.
Juneau has an incredible range, depending on what you're after. Mendenhall Glacier and Herbert Glacier for dramatic glacier access. Eagle Beach and North Douglas for coastline and mountain views. Nugget Falls for waterfall drama. North Douglas for something lush and intimate.
I'll help you narrow it down based on your vibe, mobility, season, and how much adventure you want, and I'll send you my detailed Juneau Location Guide exclusively for Wild Iris couples.
Yes, and it's one of my specialties!
Glacier elopements near Juneau are accessible by helicopter, with Mendenhall Glacier and Herbert Glacier being the most sought-after options.
I've photographed elopements on both, as well as at Taku Glacier Lodge, and can help you navigate access, permits, and logistics from start to finish.
To legally elope in Alaska, you need a marriage license, which you can obtain from the Bureau of Vital Statistics online or in person, or from any Alaska court clerk's office. Licenses are valid for 90 days and cost around $60. You'll also need an officiant who is legally authorized to perform marriages in Alaska, which can be a friend or family member ordained online, as well as one witness. I can point you toward trusted officiants in the Juneau area as part of the planning process.
Juneau is a coastal rainforest city surrounded by glaciers, mountains, and ocean — accessible only by boat or plane, which gives it an energy unlike anywhere else.
The weather is part of the experience here, not something to plan around. Some of my most breathtaking images have come from misty mornings, dramatic skies, and light breaking through the clouds at exactly the right moment. I've been shooting these landscapes for years, and I know how to work with whatever the day brings.
