Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the best time of day to propose at Eagle Beach?

These photos were taken around 9-10am in the morning. Mornings are beautiful at Eagle Beach and make the Chilkat Mountains appear a brilliant blue. Sunset is also a beautiful time for photos at Eagle Beach. Mid-day light can be quite harsh unless it is an overcast day.

Should you propose at low or high tide at Eagle Beach?

I suggest mid to low tide for an Eagle Beach proposal, or any photo session at Eagle Beach. Preferably while the tide is going out, rather than coming in.

Do you photograph the engagement session right after the proposal, or schedule it separately?

Almost every surprise proposal I photograph ends in an engagement session. I always block off time for engagement photos afterward, but because a proposal is such an emotional moment, I leave it up to both partners to decide.
